Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a mobile Water Hygiene Compliance Officer to join our Facilities Management team based at a healthcare site in Preston and covering various healthcare clinics within the Trust across Lancashire.  This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm (one hour unpaid lunch break).

 

The role:

  • Reporting to the Contract Manager
  • To take control of all aspects of statutory and legislative water quality compliance and hygiene management across the full contract
  • Oversee and manage all contractors and ensure works are delivered to budget and on time
  • Management of control of legionella and other water borne diseases
  • Establish a PPM schedule for all water systems, maintain all records in line with legislation
  • Represent Bouygues at all meetings internal and external
  • Manage specialist water hygiene maintenance sub-contractors, monitor PPMs and provide relevant technical advice and support
  • Willing to train to deliver Responsible person duties
  • Main point of contact for water management and be a member of water safety group (WSG)
  • Interpretation of water sampling test results and provide solutions
  • Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00

 

The person:

  • Hold NVQ level 3 in either plumbing or other building services related discipline
  • Recognised training / qualification in management of water systems and become responsible person (RP) for water over the contract estate
  • Experience of healthcare / building services
  • Hold a water quality management qualification (competent person (CP) City & Guilds)
  • Health and safety qualification to IOSH managing safety
  • Excellent organisational skills and not afraid to challenge
  • Relationship management skills and ability to be a team player
  • Computer literate and ability to process and understand various information sources
  • Full driving licence essential and travel to various sites is a requirement
  • Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role
