Trainee Commercial Gas Engineer

Bouygues Energies and Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Commercial Gas Engineer to join our Greater London Mobile Maintenance Engineering team. The mobile team in London supports reactive and PPM maintenance activities across all the sites we currently operate ranging from schools and hospitals to major Government buildings across Greater London and the South East.

Key Activities:

• Reporting to the Commercial Gas Supervisor
• Mobile role with travel across sites/contracts in London and surrounding areas
• Carry out planned & reactive maintenance in line with the contract service delivery plan for Gas safe and mechanical systems & associated equipment across the company profile.
• To investigate, troubleshoot and rectify defects in all systems and associated plant/components, commissioning subcontractors where necessary
• To ensure all statutory documentation is completed and kept up to date at all times
• Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with participation in the call out rota

Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems and gas, desirable to understand gas legislation
• Must have good organisational skills and able to work alone
• A proactive, flexible, can-do approach
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including IT proficiency
• Able to obtain DBS and Government Security clearance
• Must hold valid full driving license
