Social Value Advisor

Bouygues UK has an exciting opportunity available for a Social Value Advisor to be based from our Cardiff office and to help us to deliver our Corporate Responsibility strategy and objectives in South Wales.
Job Purpose & Scope:
To manage and coordinate Bouygues UK Community Engagement & Added Value activities for multiple sites across South Wales.
The Social Value Advisor will work across projects in the region, the individual will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of all activities pertaining to Social Value ensuring that the site team are kept aware and informed of progression whilst also delivering client satisfaction.
Using the companies chosen software and data collection tool “The Social Value Portal” plus using core documents integral to the role the individual will be responsible for creating, implementing and taking ownership of activities related to the Bid Proposals for each contract and ensuring that Bouygues is represented professionally and are at the forefront of delivery.
Working as part of Project teams under the line management of Project Director to deliver monthly reports and meet contractual obligations.
Function management reporting to Head of Social Value UK.
Take responsibility for the Community & Stakeholder Interface and Resident Participation; which will include some Resident Liaison duties.
Accountable to the Head of Social Value UK, the Social Value Advisor will have responsibility for:
- Community Engagement & Social Value across the regional businesses.
- To promote SV ensuring all regionally based staff understand the SV Policy and strategy.
- Develop and propose a bespoke offer for each bid, monitor scoring and feedback from bid submissions to ensure improvement.
- Manage Employment and Skills delivery focussing on employment, education, communities and communication
- Provide adequate and relevant support to site teams to deliver contractual commitments and added social value, including engaging with the local voluntary sector, charity organisations and EBPs
- Monitor and report on activity and achievement in line with Key Performance Indicators on projects
- Work in partnership with our procurement teams to improve our approach to working with SME’s and Social Enterprises.
- Join and participate actively in Bouygues UK Community Network.
- Ensure effective SV communication methods are in place for the region (newsletter, social media, emails).
- Attend relevant industry events
- Regional contact for Partner Organisations, Charities and Voluntary Organisations
- Comply with company policy and procedure.
- Follow company’s Equalities policies in relation to other staff, customers and members of the Group
- CITB Interface and Liaison with Schools
Essential & Desirable Criteria:

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel
- Ability to network and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Excellent organisation skills
Desirable
- Ability to negotiate, persuade and influence
- Ability to work and interface with internal and external stakeholders
- Business Awareness
- Knowledgeable of the Social Value Act (2012)
- Contributing to continuous improvement
- Ability to drive, clean driving licence
