Bouygues Energies & Services are seeking to appoint Site Managers, to support our growing Pharmaceutical sector.

We are committed to providing highly competitive design, build and maintain solutions for our customers in the pharmaceutical and life science markets.  Within this regulated industry we will support project design, construction and commissioning to ensure cutting edge practices and innovation. 

We are recruiting experienced Site Managers to join our successful team and be responsible for managing M&E and fit out aspects of large projects from inception to completion, within set timescales, to high quality standards and within health and safety guidelines.  The roles will be initially based in the North West with the potential to travel to other regions.

The Role

  • Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards on site.
  • Assist with co-ordinate and control the on-site processes ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan.
  • Keep site diary and understand scope of works.
  • Ensure compliance on site of company health & safety standards and processes.
  • Co-ordinate labour and resources on site to deliver the programme and proactively schedule trades to ensure optimum delivery.
  • Maintain material levels on site to ensure the stock level are met and all labour is efficiently employed.
  • Carry out toolbox talks or similar on-site briefings.
  • Support delivery in assigned projects through coordinating and delivering the full project scope to schedule and in accordance with specifications and standards.
  • Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for Progress Reports.
  • Record keeping (diary, drawing register, H&S, COSHH Assessments, As built drawings, Levels & Foundations records, site H&S file).

The Person

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
  • Experience from a construction, cleanroom/ventilation/HVAC/Building Services background.
  • Has experience of working to an established build programme and managing key priorities.
  • Site Management experience.
  • A keen desire to continually develop knowledge further.
  • Be self-motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines.
  • Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Be able to work and support a busy construction team.
  • Attention to Health and Safety matters.
  • Commercially astute.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical/clean room/health care sectors.
  • Experience in a controlled environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services discipline.
