We at Bouygues are looking for a Contract Manager on the M25 J10.

Main Purpose of the Job

To manage the commercial performance of Bouygues E&S working on the RDP Framework and in particular on the M25 J10 Scheme. Work alongside the existing Commercial support and Operational team as part of the Project team(s) to deliver information and advice on project Profit & Loss, and contractual obligation with particular focus on managing the Earned Value process on the Project.

 Person Specification

  • Previous experience in Quantity Surveyor positions in a similar sector
  • Have knowledge and understanding of construction techniques, problems, solutions, and work closely with technical staff.
  • Excellent written, numerical, oral communication and negotiating skills
  • Be able to develop knowledge of the contractual and commercial processes relating to the project especially NEC3 D&C and TSC (and NEC4) and JCT suite of contracts.
  • Be able to identify risks in projects, and implement and manage risk management procedures and contingencies
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of the six main Options(payment) the application of Allowed and Disallowed Cost
  • Knowledge and awareness of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 and understanding the difference between assessment date and payment due date.
  • A keen eye for detail, with a methodical and process driven approach to work.

 Desirable

  • Working towards RICS / ICES / CIOB accreditation
  • Knowledge of Highway and Civil Engineering; Measurement practice; Construction law & practice; Commercial Management
  • HNC/D or Degree in relevant discipline
