Senior MEP Project Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior MEP Project Manager to join our Projects team to support on-going fit out projects at Southmead Hospital.
We currently oversee the maintenance of the facility given this is a PFI FM contract; thus we have identified a range of project work that needs to be completed. This is a long term role with the opportunity to progress within the wider Bouygues Construction group.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the assisting and delivering major / minor works projects, delivering project solutions to budget, time and quality requirements. Our Projects team provides construction and building projects across various sites and sectors including healthcare, government and energy performance contracts.
Some of the duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager will involve:
- Taking profit and loss responsibility for allocated projects; owning each project and delivery with a high degree of attention to design, construction, and financial detail
- Through a recognised process (e.g. RIBA plan of work) create strategic, operational, and tactical programmes to demonstrate how projects will be delivered
- Appointing, managing, monitoring and co-ordinating consultants and the on-site activities of all sub-contractors with regard to programme
- Ensuring that appropriate planning consents, CDM requirements, Method Statements, Risk and COSHH Assessments and Permits to Work are in place prior to work commencing
- Devising project plan and programme and co-ordinate all on-site activities
- In conjunction with Procurement Department colleagues, preparing documentation for schedules of rates, quotations, tenders, and term contracts
- Writing specifications and compile contract documentation
- Ensuring staff and contractors maintain the highest standards of health and safety, professionalism, and customer service at all times
The candidate will have the following skills, experience, and qualification:
- Experience of managing projects in the construction / M&E environment
- Must be qualified in a construction or building services related discipline (mechanical or electrical)
- Recognised Project Management training (e.g. Prince 2 / APM)
- Working knowledge of CDM regulations
- CSCS / SSSTS / SMSTS / First Aid training will be an advantage
- Highly organised with strong administrative skills
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills
- Dynamic and flexible with a can-do approach
- Full driving licence
