We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Innovation Manager to join our BYCN UK Innovation Shared Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the culture and processes required for innovation to succeed.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Keeping a technology watch and benchmarking competitors on their innovation strategy

  • Developing our connection to the UK innovative ecosystem and building technological partnerships
  • Keeping on improving our Innovation management, liaising closely with the Group:

    • Follow up of UK R&D projects as part of Bouygues Construction R&D labs (budget, method, projects milestones, coaching…), open innovation (start-ups mapping, sourcing, trials monitoring, go/no go decisions for deployment), employee-led programmes (Makers, InnoCup, Accelerators)
    • Process, governance, and management of the UK innovation community (preparation and facilitation of steering committees, information, and animation of core teams and the Champions networks)
  • Reinforcing innovation methods (design thinking / UX/UI / agile methods / collaborative methods / creativity sessions)

  • Embedding innovation in our bids (support some flagship bids to design the best response)
  • Defining - with the communication department - a communication plan to promote internally and externally our innovation strategy, initiatives, and portfolio

  • Accessing and securing external funding

The idea candidate will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in innovation, ideally in construction industry
  • You are open-minded and a good communicator, with an ability to listen to people, connect with them and coach them

  • You are curious and quickly understand ecosystems, as well as technology

  • You are organised and thorough, with a strong methodology. It helps you manage projects and change

  • You manage competently different stakeholders and their expectations

  • Ability to challenge the status quo
  • Results and solutions oriented, able to demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit
