The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Manager in delivering an operational HR service to facilities management contracts in parts of the South-East and East Anglia. The role will involve regular travel to sites across the region.
- What you can expect from the role:You will manage a small team of HR generalists to deliver an effective and consistent level of service across all key tasks including ER, recruitment, performance management, HR shared service activities and reporting
- You will act as a business partner for your assigned contracts, advising senior managers on people strategy including Investors in People, positive employee engagement and developing employee capability
- You will lead and support senior managers on employee relations including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, attendance improvement plans, investigations, all underpinned by providing advice and guidancethrough a coaching and consultative approach
- Resourcing: work in conjunction with the resourcing team and line managers to ensure resourcing is conducted in both a timely and efficiently manner, through workforce and succession planning
- Analysing key management information to understand trends and help shape the people strategy for your assigned contracts
- Ensuring compliance with HR policies, which includes Right to Work, security licensing, DBS /PVG, security clearance and requirements of the Official Secrets Act

What we would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- HR experience gained in a HR Manager role, with hands on, practical experience on managing end to end ER processes, with the ability to apply employment law
- Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Proactive leadership and flexible approach to working within a busy team
- Experience overseeing the recruitment and selection processes
- Ability to build credible relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
What would be a bonus, but not essential
- Understanding of the Facilities Management sector
- Experience in developing policy / procedure
- Experience in the use of an integrated HR information system (e. g. Resource Link, Peoplesoft etc)
