An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic position for a finance professional offering a wide variety and range of responsibilities, in a fast paced environment, with the opportunity to work with stakeholders at various levels up to and including Board members.. Your finance skills will cover all aspects of management and financial accounting. We require a Senior Financial Accountant – SPV at Bouygues UK.
Job Purpose and Scope:
Senior Financial Accountant responsible for running the day to day function for a number of SPV companies.
Accountabilities and key tasks:
- Managing the day to day accounting and finance responsibilities for a number of SPV companies including maintaining the accounting records, co-ordination of invoicing, payments etc as well as management of cash balances.
- Preparation of periodic budgets
- Preparing monthly reporting packs and ad hoc information for shareholders and lenders including the update of financial models relating to future expected cashflows.
- Assist with quarterly group reporting.
- Management of periodic VAT, CIS tax returns to ensure these are completed and filed on a timely basis.
- In conjunction with the SPV CEO assist with ensuring that there are good relationships with SPV Board’s and shareholders including preparing and when required presenting the financial results at monthly Board Meetings.
- Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts and corporation tax computations in conjunction with external auditors, advisers and the SPV management/directors.
- Preparing draft reports for review by Deputy Finance Manager as required by lenders of each SPV including updates to financial and operational models.
- Providing prompt and accurate reporting of matters relevant to the various contractual obligations entered into by each SPV company, together with contributing such observations and recommendations as are appropriate to ensure the contracts are properly managed from a financial perspective.
- Assist with requests for drawdown of financing under the various agreements entered into by each SPV (including to the extent they are applicable Credit, Intercreditor, Shareholders, Accounts, Credit Facility, Security, loan, investment deed, agreements)
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a plan to ensure the accounting and tax support provided is compliant with the Management Service Agreements under which the services are provided and to demonstrate the SPVs are compliant with their contractual requirements.
Who are we looking for:
Essential:
- Part or Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
- Experience of preparing statutory accounts and tax returns
- Good working knowledge of UK accounting standards
- Experience of working in a busy or challenging environment
- Highly organized and adaptive
- Excel and word skills - Intermediate or above
- Self-motivated
- Positive attitude
- Pass relevant security checks where required.
Desirable:
- SPV finance experience
SAP experience
IFRS knowledge
