We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced PFI FM General Manager to lead our Central Middlesex University Hospital contract. This is a TFM contract, however there is a greater emphasis on the Hard FM element.

We are looking for a diligent General Manager who has an interest in health care and who is keen on introducing innovation.

Key activities

  • Reporting to the Contract Director; to be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of first-class Hard FM services at Central Middlesex Hospital
  • Champion a safe working environment
  • Be responsible for contract performance including budgets and staff
  • To exercise financial and commercial controls to manage expenditure and increase profitability
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with our clients to ensure unrivalled customer satisfaction
  • Ensure operational delivery is compliant with statutory and contractual obligations
  • Meet all key performance and management indicators
  • Identify opportunities to expand current contracts and to develop new business
  • Manage and develop the site teams including recruitment, appraisal, HR matters, etc

Skills & experience

  • A sound understanding of hard services delivery in a PFI environment and commercially aware
  • Experience of operating a PFI contract and experience in the application and reporting of strict performance measures (within a healthcare environment is desirable)
  • Significant experience in managing FM contracts at senior level
  • Will have experience of managing multi-functional teams including strong communication, interpersonal and man management skills
  • Will be adept at financial management with experience of P&L responsibility
  • Must have strong client management skills, including managing expectations
