Senior Engineer

We're on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Section Manager to lead our Enabling Works and Earthworks team working at Sizewell C. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the early phases of constructing a cutting-edge nuclear power plant that will play a critical role in the UK's energy future.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and Inspire: Manage a talented team of Section Engineers and Site Engineers, guiding them through complex civil engineering tasks like the SSSI Crossing, ground improvements, dewatering, and sea defence.

Technical Excellence: Review Method Statements and Risk Assessments, ensuring best practices in safety and quality.

Innovate: Carry out trend analysis and identify improvement areas to drive efficiency and innovation.

Documentation & Compliance: Oversee the production and implementation of Permits to Work, ensuring all control documentation meets industry standards.

Collaborate: Work closely with key stakeholders, from government agencies to financial investors, ensuring the seamless progression of the project.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: Degree in an electrical or engineering discipline or relevant site experience in the Utilities/Construction Industry. Professional accreditation (ICE, IHT) and geotechnical experience are a plus.

Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. A thorough understanding of H&S legislation and technical requirements for setting out.
