Senior Energy Project Manager

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Renewable Energy team. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the construction delivery of a number of innovative Renewable Energy Centre and Heat Network projects in the Cambridgeshire area (value ranging between £2 mil - £10 mil).
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will involve:
- Management of the delivery of multidisciplinary building services and renewable energy engineering projects
- Development and completion of project management documents, such as programmes, risk registers, project management plans
- CDM Principle Contractor compliance
- Control of budgets, quality and programmes
- Lead coordination of in-house Energy Engineers, external consultants and external sub-contractors
- Manage and mitigate technical and commercial risks associated with the delivery of the project
- Management of variations and financial performance of the project
- Reporting on progress both internally and to the customer on all aspects of the project including health & safety, finance and programme
- Manage construction teams (building, mechanical, electrical, public health) in the construction and delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects
- Planning for and managing the commissioning, testing and witnessing processes
- Coordination and implementation of handovers and practical completion, including the preparation of O&M documentation, end-user training and soft landings
- Manage budgets for project works to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget limits
- Work with contract managers and quantity surveyors/ cost control team in the administration of the contracts and sub-contracts including valuations and payment processes as well as variation/change control
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Previous experience of successful delivery of complex engineering projects of at least £10m construction value, ideally delivering energy centre and heat network facilities
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering in building services and renewable energy
- SMSTS, NEBOSH, IOSH, CSCS gold card or above
- Excellent Health & Safety track record
- Ability to schedule and co-ordinate work to tight deadlines and within financial budget
- Highly computer literate with strong Excel and MS Projects skills
- Flexible approach; valid driving licence
