Senior Energy Contracts Manager

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Energy Contracts Manager (Quantity Surveying) role for our renewable energy business unit.

The role:

• To advise on a procurement strategy to drive best value from suppliers and subcontractors, including the implementation and maintenance of an Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) Supplier Framework
• To prepare contract documents for tenders awarded under EPC Supplier Framework
• To identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks, including advice on contractual claims
• To communicate regularly with project staff, specialist subcontractors, commercial department and procurement department to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times
• To carry out monthly financial reviews on projects and forecast final outturn values for cost, sales and margin, including updates of projects’ shadow P&L
• To manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable 

The person: 

• BSc or MSc degree accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in quantity surveying, commercial management or a related construction subject together with RICS membership
• Knowledge of JCT or NEC forms of contract
• Previous experience working for a main contractor
• A practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking
• Strong numeracy and financial management skills
• The ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
• The ability to negotiate and excellent relationship building skills
