Senior Bid Estimator

Bouygues Energies and Services is a global FM contractor who are long established in the UK; we currently have a new position for a Senior Bid Estimator to join our growing business development team in Central London. This is a pivotal role in the business given the drive to increase our market share within the FM sector.
The role
- Actively engage with the bid team to develop win themes and bid strategy for FM components of bid opportunities.
- Own the FM estimating process and outputs for each opportunity assignment, ensuring the timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids. Develop and produce materials and information required to support the Tender Governance process under the guidance of the Senior Cost & Solutions Manager.
- Work with Bid Managers and provide the technical development of bespoke FM solutions, including the preparation of detailed pricing (estimating), in accordance with departmental processes and procedures.
- Co-ordinate and liaise with colleagues from operational and operational support functions to collaboratively analyse client requirements, develop compelling solutions and develop detailed pricing that deliver the agreed win themes and bid strategy for each bid.
- Co-ordinate with the Procurement Department to develop FM supplier pricing, including development of specifications, identification, and briefing of suppliers and analysis of supplier pricing submissions.
- Work with the Bid Manager and Bid Co-ordinator to co-ordinate the preparation of graphics and supporting material to support bid responses.
- Work with the Senior Cost & Solutions Manager and Finance/ Commercial Departments to validate accuracy and competitiveness of detailed pricing solutions and models
- Develop and maintain a technical and pricing database, including mapping actual costs and solutions delivered by the operational teams to support continuous improvement in the development of high-quality solutions
The person:
- Detailed understanding of Hard FM maintenance or engineering disciplines including pricing
- Must have technical M&E maintenance background
- Experience of job costing/ solution development for commercial proposals
- Strong organisational and process skills
- Excellent Excel and MS Word skills
- Strong writing and presentation skills
