Bouygues Energies & Services is recruiting a Senior Architect / Architectural Technologist / Technician.
The successful candidate will work within an experienced Consulting and Architectural team, delivering design solutions and services on construction projects linked to clean rooms, pharmaceutical facilities, and other mission critical projects.
The role will be part of a multi-disciplined design department, being an integral member of the Architectural team working pro-actively with in house key designers, such as Architects and Technicians, Design Managers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Process Engineers, Structural Engineers and Estimators.
The candidate will have a strong technical and design background and a proven track record of working on projects from an Architectural perspective and leading the project specific multi-disciplinary design team project dependent.
This role will involve providing technical design to projects at stage 2 – 3 within the consulting department and stages 4 and 5 within the Architectural department.
The Senior Architect / Architectural Technologist / Technician will be fully mobile and be available to work on projects around the UK attending client, design team and project meetings a necessary.
The Role
- Produce building models, 3D visualisations, architectural components and assemblies using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Be responsible for producing technical design solutions and economically viable solutions.
- Take responsibility for liaising with regulatory bodies in order to satisfy current standards and conditions.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to project teams.
- Complete site surveys and support site evaluation.
- Be involved in regular review meetings with project teams, provide effective communication and change management.
- Attend and run client workshops.
- Be involved in feasibility studies and front-end design studies.
- Site Masterplanning.
- Clash detection and reporting using Navisworks.
- Specification writing using NBS.
- Checking and approving of sub-contractor tenders and packages.
- Planning and Building Regulation Applications.
- Maintain technical audit trail through the architectural process.
- Be aware of health and safety requirements in all aspects of the role.
The Person:
Essential Criteria
- Good knowledge of architecture and technical designs.
- Have an understanding of traditional and modern construction methods.
- Work as part of a team to agree practical and realistic programme for delivery of design within project demands.
- Excellent knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
- Skilled Chartered Architect, Architectural Technician, Architectural Technologist
