Bouygues Energies and Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Security Officer to join our Facilities Management team covering two university buildings in Waterloo and London Bridge working at King's College London.

This is a permanent role working: 

  • 56 hours on average per week, Monday through Sunday working 12 hour shifts, 07:00 – 19:00 and 19:00 – 07:00 on a rolling shift pattern of 3 days, 3 nights, 3 days off to include weekends and bank holidays.

 

 

The role:

  • Reports to the Security Shift Controllers
  • To work as part of a team providing a safe and secure environment for our clients’ assets and people across two buildings
  • To guard and patrol the site(s), monitoring entrances and exits, responding to incidents, calls for assistance and alarm activations (fire, intruder, etc.)
  • To implement crime prevention measures as directed by security management team
  • To operate a PC based access control system
  • To provide detailed and accurate written reports/logs and carry out duties in accordance with the Universities customer service standards
  • Working 56 hours on average per week, Monday through Sunday working 12 hour shifts, 07:00 – 19:00 and 19:00 – 07:00 on a rolling shift pattern of 3 days, 3 nights, 3 days off to include weekends and bank holidays.

 

The person:

  • SIA security officer front line licence with a 10 year checkable work/education record is essential
  • Previous experience of working in a customer facing security officer role vital
  • Previous experience of working within a university / hospital environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Will have the ability to meet deadlines and work unsupervised
  • Must be able to operate a PC based access control systems
  • Must be aware of H&S / hazards in the workplace
  • Must be customer focused and able to represent the Company in a professional manner at all times
