Bouygues Energies & Services has an amazing opportunity for a Reception Manager from a Security background within our facilities management business to join our estates team at our prestigious UK Home Office contract. 

Key Activities

  • Reports to the Senior Operations Manager (Security)
  • To support the Senior Operations Manager in ensuring the implementation of manned guarding services across the estate is carried out in a professional and seamless manner
  • To assist the Senior Operations Manager in managing the fully integrated manned guarding across
    the estate which will be operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • To be responsible for ensuring technical integrity of all electronic security systems
  • To control the P&L and drive operations to meet agreed revenue, gross margin, contract retention 
    and control of overhead targets to meet both contract and company objective
  • To provide technical advice and expertise on all electronic security systems across the estate
    together with in-house training for security staff working in the department
  • To ensure that all security related equipment is maintained and fit for purpose and any defects are 
    reported and rectified within the contract SLAs through the FM helpdesk
  • Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day between 08:00 and 18:00

Skills & Experience

  • Proven management experience of security services in a blue-chip corporate environment or within 
    central government
  • Hold an SIA licence, with an in-depth knowledge of industry standard and legislation 
  • Strong technical knowledge of Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Fire Alarm systems
  • Previous experiences of managing a large number of varied staff and dealing effectively with 
    recruitment and selection, performance management, absence management issues etc
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desirable to have experience of managing Security Reviews, Assignment Instructions, Security 
    Audits etc
  • Employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearances; this requires a current 
    passport and 5 years’ residency within the UK. A full and comprehensive 5-year work/education 
    history will also be required
