Are you an innovative engineer ready to tackle one of the most exciting marine projects in the UK? At CWA, we are leading the development of Sizewell C, a groundbreaking 3.2-gigawatt power station set to supply clean, reliable electricity to around 6 million homes. We are looking for a skilled Section Engineer to join our Marine Delivery Team and contribute to the success of this monumental project.

About the Role: As a Section Engineer based in our London office (with frequent visits to Bristol and Sizewell), you'll play an integral part in the planning, method development, and delivery of the Sizewell C Marine Works. Reporting to the Marine Sub-Agent, you'll support the Offshore Delivery Team in constructing the Power Station Cooling system, including pre-cast concrete heads, seabed preparation, and connection shafts to bored tunnels 20m below the seabed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with site investigations and the overall implementation of marine projects.
  • Ensure compliance with systems, design information, procedures, and quality systems.
  • Develop supporting documents for DCO and MMO licenses.
  • Create and review construction methods, ensuring constructability.
  • Support supply chain procurement, material and plant acquisition.
  • Develop supplier work specifications and adjudicate deliverables and proposals.
  • Assess project risks and produce Risk Assessments and Method Statement documents.
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, consulting engineers, and clients.
  • Apply creative and logical thinking to resolve design and methodology challenges.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control mechanisms are in place.
  • Provide technical support to the project delivery team.
  • Maintain accurate daily site records and productivity reports.
  • Utilise digital tools effectively to support project activities.
  • Maintain a relentless focus on Zero Harm.

Your Profile:

  • Essential Qualifications: A 2:2 BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering, eligibility to work in the UK, and ideally, a full UK driver’s licence. CSCS Card - managers and professionals.
  • Skills: Experience in marine operation planning, nearshore/offshore works, and technical and engineering management.
  • Desirable: Professional accreditation or working towards it, familiarity with DCO and MMO licenses, and UK project experience.
