We are looking for an experienced recruiter to join our in house recruitment team.  As a Recruitment Advisor you will be responsible for directly sourcing construction and supporting function talent across London and the South East (predominately white collar employees).  Based from our Head Office close to Waterloo Station, there will be the opportunity for some flexible working. 

Key elements of the role include:

  • Build collaborative and supportive relationships within the business area supporting hiring managers and HR colleagues to develop talent acquisition strategies to ensure we can effectively and efficiently deliver recruitment requirements.
  • Be responsible for directly sourcing quality candidates to fill requirements.
  • Provide expertise in the sourcing and selection of talent, including the development and implementation of talent pipelines.
  • Develop ways to leverage the recruiting knowledge that resides within the business area
  • Support the development of Recruitment Policies, procedures and programs to deliver or assist achievement of business area objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for greater efficiencies, synergies and growth both internally and externally.
  • Ensure the companies values, philosophy, fundamentals and behaviours are known, understood and cascaded throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain integrity and upkeep of functional recruiting systems and processes while supporting new tools and efficiency opportunities (digital transformation).
  • Support the development and communication of an effective employment brand and EVP.
  • Positively impact and support our diversity agenda.
  • Working with the Head of Recruitment build upon and devise effective recruitment campaigns to ensure a pipeline of quality Emerging Talent to fit the business requirements.
  • Ensure that we have strong effective relationships with our Supply Chain partners.
  • Ensure we a delivering the most cost-effective solution to the business’ recruitment needs via the increase of direct hires.
  • Together with the hiring manager, ensure the timelines for each requirement is met.

 

The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Technical recruitment experience with a clear track record of success.  Ideally gained through in house or RPO experience.
  • Can quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships with hiring managers.
  • Knowledge of recruitment legislation and initiatives and the ability to work across different business units and management teams.
  • Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented.
  • Commercial acumen -  a good overall understanding of company finances and uses this information to push back and support managers in resource and succession planning.
  • Effectively plans ahead to anticipate problems, plans for worst-case and best-case scenarios.
  • Makes sensible, intelligent decisions in difficult and deadline driven situations.
  • Displays integrity - is sincere in own behaviour and in dealings with others.
  • Self motivated and self aware - recognizes own strengths and weaknesses and is committed to personal development.

And will ideally be:

  • CIPD qualified
  • In house recruitment experience
