VSL UK is looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join us on the Sizewell C project - one of the most important energy infrastructure projects in the UK. You will be a dynamic and meticulous Quantity Surveyor looking to join our team on take on this fantastic opportunity to be involved in one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
Experience Required:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering
- Proven experience as a QS, ideally in major civil works or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts (Mandatory)
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
- Comfortable working on site at Sizewell (accommodation and travel support can be discussed if needed).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and report on the financial and contractual performance of designated work packages
- Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, cost reports, and cash flows
- Administer subcontractor payments and support with contract management
- Support the procurement of subcontract packages and monitor subcontractor performance
- Identify, value, and agree variations and claims in a timely manner
- Provide commercial support to site management teams
- Work collaboratively with engineering and operational teams to ensure commercial success
