Are you ready to make an impact on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects? Join the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) as a Quantity Surveyor for the Sizewell C (SZC) project! Be a part of a team that will generate low-carbon electricity for 6 million homes, ensuring reliable, clean energy for at least 60 years.

Location: London or Suffolk with visits to other offices

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, supporting senior members of the commercial team, and procuring and managing our supply chain. Your mission is to minimize project costs, enhance value for money, and maintain required standards and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to the Company's GMCEs, BMS, and other governance.
  • Measure, record, and value work unsupervised, following appropriate rules and procedures.
  • Measure and interpret specifications and drawings, preparing estimates from first principles.
  • Translate measurements from drawings and Specifications, preparing Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Rates.
  • Review weekly, monthly, and section programmes of works, planning commercial activities accordingly.
  • Use the company’s ERP system for collating Cost and Value Information.
  • Prepare Cost reconciliation statements and measure works for agreements with subcontractors.
  • Undertake customer and stakeholder management within your area of responsibility.
  • Maintain a Personal Development Plan and support the development of less experienced team members.
  • Work towards professional membership from RICS, ICES, or CIOB.

What We’re Looking For:

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Achievement-focused with a track record of delivering results.
  • Previous commercial work experience and industry knowledge are highly desirable.
