Bouygues Energies & Services – Industry UK & France ("BYES"), in joint venture (“JV”) with Kraftanlagen Energies & Services ("KA"), is carrying out a major data centre project located in the Frankfurt area (Germany). 

Integrated within the project team and reporting to the Head of Finance of BYES Industry UK, you oversee the financial management of the Project. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Participation in the preparation of the Project budget & intermediate financial reviews with the Project Management and Management of the Joint Venture.
  • Analytical monitoring of expenditure and commitments.
  • Realisation of monthly cost control in collaboration with the operational teams.
  • Establish, monitor and optimise the Project financial performance indicators including but not limited:
    o    Turnover forecast and to date
    o    Project result forecast and to date
    o    Cash performance (invoicing and cash collection).
  • Proactively advise the Project Management on the ways to improve the financial performance of the Project.
  • The assessment and monitoring of the financial risks of the Project.
  • Participation in contract management (client & supply chain), specifically for its financial aspects.  Provide necessary financial information to the Project team to cost, issue and negotiate the variations with the client and with the supply chain.
  • Ad-hoc analysis, at the request of operational teams and/or the financial teams of the partners in the Joint Venture.
  • Administrative support to the Project team, particularly with regards to the administrative follow-up of the JV, supply chain, tax, customs, insurance and other administrative aspects.
  • Understand, interpret, and constructively challenge, to improve processes and delivery of business performance.
  • Fulfil Health and Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Health and Safety Policy.

You work closely with the Project Management, the operational teams of the Project, the financial teams of the partners in the Joint Venture and group support functions and you are assisted by project Financial Controllers.

The person

  • Proven experience in financial control of large construction projects.
  • The ability to lead and manage a team by providing guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Mastery of Excel and IT tools. Knowledge of SAP would be desirable.
  • Ability to work with large datasets.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to complete detailed analysis of cost variances with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate on financial performance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an effective team player.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate in a summarised and impactful way.

Job location: Offenbach-am-Main (Germany). With site presence minimum 4 days / week.
