We have a great opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join our highly successful Energy business; primarily supporting our solar farm and other Energy Renewable projects. 

Bouygues Energies & Services design, install and commission large scale solar PV farms for our clients. Supplying renewable energy from solar power plants enables local communities to reduce costs and reduce their carbon footprint. It also means they can provide off-grid power in remote areas that can be sold back to the grid or used locally at a cheaper price than grid-supplied energy.

Key Activities

  • To be involved in procuring, tendering and negotiation of all materials, consultancy works, and subcontract works for building solar farms and EPC (Energy Performance contracting) projects
  • Develop a national and global supply chain partners to suit the demand
  • Ensure compliance with objective budget, project requirement, technical specification, safety, health and environment requirements of materials and subcontract works
  • Provide support with contract management including the preparation, negotiation, execution, compliance, storage, and communication across all departments
  • Support with the supplier relationship management of the supply chain
  • Provide procurement advice to project team, with an emphasis on operational support
  • To provide day to day support to the site operations team, following up procurement enquiries and problem solving with supply chains
  • Assist the Procurement Manager and Senior Procurement Officer when required
  • Develop key commodity management analysis to enable to carry out tenders efficiently and develop expertise on the dedicated categories (by following the 7 key steps of Category Management)
  • Consistently monitoring the trade specific marketplace to ensure awareness of pricing trends, risks and opportunities


The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain management is essential
  • Knowledge of operational purchasing and supply practice, policies and procedures
  • Good level of numeracy with experience in cost analysis
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven experience of tendering and contracting practices
  • MCIPS qualifications (or working towards) is desirable
  • Facilities Management experience is beneficial
