Procurement Officer

Bouygues Energies & Services are seeking to appoint a Procurement Officer, to join the Procurement team based in Manchester.

Working as part of a small team, the Procurement Officer will provide an effective, comprehensive and expert procurement services to support the business.

The Procurement Officer will help develop and implement innovative approaches to supply arrangements that minimise costs, deliver savings and mitigate commercial risks.  The role will be based in our offices in Didsbury, Manchester and some travel to regional offices/sites may be required.

The Role

• Be the procurement lead for Industrial Works and develop the international, national, and regional supply change to suit the demands of projects.
• Be the Indirect Spend Category Specialist for the business and develop National and Regional Framework Agreements.
• Supply chain management, including structuring the supply chain, carrying out performance and relationship management to drive improved performance/cost benefits.
• Monitor supply chain performance, compliance, workload, and financial status to ensure the company is protected.
• Be the lead for the Digitalization Strategy and our Digital ordering tools.
• Assist Head of Procurement for the management of the Dashboard and Reporting.
• Assist the Project Buyers to provide an effective and professional service in the procurement of sub-contractors and material for strategic trades including construction stage project management.
• Support the group procurement goals and objectives.

Essential Criteria

• Good understanding of strategic procurement practices.
• Good knowledge of sustainability and safety within procurement practices.
• A strong team player who is customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Knowledge and skills to effectively solve problems.
• Attention to detail with good time management and negotiating skills.
• Attention of Health and Safety matters.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience working in the building services/construction sector.
