Axione (part of the Bouygues Group) is currently looking for an experienced Operation & Maintenance Project Engineer (Fibre Telecomms) to join our operations team, who are based in Holytown, Motherwell, but this role will be mobile, covering regional projects along the 'central belt'.

About the job

To assist the Operation & Maintenance Manager in the co-ordination and control of the Drop Connection and Maintenance tasks on site, carried out by our chosen sub-contractors, and to guarantee a quality of service in accordance with the plan and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

- Subcontractor management to ensure Drop Connections and Maintenance interventions are delivered on time to meet service levels and with the right level of quality.
- Schedule preparation, pre-planning, material and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the mission. Issue defect notices where required, investigate defects & latent defects and provide engineered solutions where necessary in coordination with expert teams.
- Ensure progress is measured, report to the Operation & Maintenance Manager regarding progress and provide information for Progress and Quality Reports. Issue Early Warning to contractors for non-performance.
- Ensure the Company Health and Safety safe working practices are observed at all times.
- Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
- Follow the company's Equalities Policies in relation to other staff, customers and members of the Group, at a level appropriate to the post.
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by their line manager from time to time, outside the normal sphere of work as may be reasonably requested.

The job holder will be required to undertake such flexible and additional working hours as may be necessary, within reason, to facilitate the efficient fulfilment of the duties required by position.

- Previous experience in FTTP home installations
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Sub-contractor management skills
- Excellent self-organisation skills and ability to organise work for others

- High levels of quality standards
- Attention to H&S matters
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Full Driving Licence
- NEC experience
- Good Public Relations skills
- Full UK driving licence

Desirable

- Relevant up-to-date certification in order to undertake this work. For example: First Aid, CSCS etc.
