Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Office Cleaner to join our Facilities Management team at the Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service Fire Station in Bootle, Merseyside working 20hrs per week from 08:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday.

 

  • Reporting to the Soft Services Facilities Officer
  • To undertake general cleaning duties including floors, toilets, furniture and fittings, emptying bins and removal of rubbish at site
  • Keep client’s environments clean and tidy to a high standard
  • To clean carpets ensuring that they are vacuumed and deep cleaned as appropriate, according to the manufacturers’ recommendation
  • To empty waste bins and receptacles, ensuring they are disinfected and free from smears and odours and ensuring the safe segregation and disposal of rubbish in accordance with procedures
  • To check that all cleaning equipment is safe to use before starting work and report any defects immediately. Ensure all cleaning equipment including machinery used is cleaned and returned to designated storerooms in a safe and tidy manner after use ready for next cleaning operation
  • Working 20 hours per week from 08:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday

 

The person:

 

  • Previous cleaning experience in a similar role/environment essential, however training will be given on equipment
  • Ideally hold a BICS (British Institute of Cleaning Science) training certificate or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills and a high standard of work with attention to detail
  • Adaptable and flexible can-do approach with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently
  • Previous health and safety training would be an advantage
