Bouygues UK have an exciting opportunity for experienced M&E Engineers to work on the renowned Oriel project. Oriel is a joint initiative to transform a two-acre site at St Pancras Hospital to deliver a pioneering eye care, research, and education centre. The project will be a new, state-of-the-art building with an anticipated gross internal area of up to 46,000m2. Designed with flexibility in mind, it will be able to meet future service requirements and keep pace with changes in technological, medical or research requirements. Its design has been the subject of an extensive programme of engagement with patients, staff and partner organisations to ensure a national standard for accessibility is created.

 Essential

  • Relevant Building Services qualification (Mechanical or Electrical) advantageous not essential with appreciation and understanding of both disciplines
  • Managing subcontractor
  • Experience working with a main contractor or large M&E subcontractor
  • Strong attention to detail
  • I.T. Literate

 Job Purpose and Scope:

To coordinate, procure and supervise M&E works. Accountabilities and key tasks:

  • Managing works with an emphasis for on-site works
  • Carries out quality inspections and assists in management of QVF system
  • Issues and supervises closure of NCR’s and CAR’s
  • Carry out and Monitor Work Inspection Records (WIR) procedure
  • Liaise on a day to day basis with trades and civils senior engineers
  • Monitors programme with weekly updates to Project Manager
  • Manages & monitors subcontractors
  • Management, monitoring and supervision of H&S and compliance with CDM regs at the work face
