Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our Facilities Management team at the prestigious university establishment King's College London.  Main base will be either Waterloo or London Bridge.  This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with overtime available and occasional weekend working.

 

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

  • Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager / Operations Manager (Hard FM)
  • To apply relevant trade skills to any allocated jobs as directed by management
  • Responsible for the safe operation, planned and reactive maintenance of electrical systems, associated plant/equipment installed throughout the site
  • To carry out all required testing & inspection of all electrical systems
  • To carry out portable appliance testing (PAT).
  • To comply with statutory testing and inspection legislation (BS 7671).
  • To undertake training and qualify as Authorised / Responsible / Competent Person as required
  • Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with participation in the on call rota and occasional out of hours activity.  

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • Must hold a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Electrical discipline with suitable industry experience.
  • Qualifications such as C&G 2391 Test & Inspection and 18th Edition are preferred
  • Good organisational skills, able to prioritise workload
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to use initiative and judgement to solve problems
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team
  • Understanding of the Maximo CAFM system is desirable
