Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance & Small Works Supervisor to join our Facilities Management team covering 3 PFI secondary schools in Peterborough.  This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week from 08.00 to 17.00, Monday to Friday

 

The role:

  • Reporting to the Hard FM & Compliance Manager
  • Supervise the maintenance team and apply relevant trade skills where necessary; this will include HVAC plant, ductwork, fans, pumps, pipework, valves, leaks, blockages etc.
  • Support and assist with the delivery of Maintenance services across the Peterborough schools PFI contract, deputising where necessary
  • Respond to all reactive requests and small works estimation
  • Manage own monthly workload using PDA handheld device and be familiar with Maximo or similar asset management software system
  • Ensure prompt and accurate completion of all associated paperwork
  • Working 40 hours per week from 08.00 to 17.00, Monday to Friday

 

The person:

  • Previous experience in a similar supervisory role essential with Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical core skills and good knowledge of building Fabric
  • Must hold a recognised advanced electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant discipline with suitable industry experience.
  • Have an understanding of Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work
  • Possess good understanding of the maintenance requirements of building services assets associated with a multi-site environment
  • Competent person with L8 experience is advantageous; must have Asbestos awareness
  • Driving licence essential
  • Able to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance due to working in the vicinity of children
