LV Jointer

We have a great opportunity for a LV Jointer working with London and Kent team with our BYES Connections team.

Key Activities

Carry out site specific risk assessment prior to any site activities electronically on tablet provided
Set up site in accordance with chapter 8 of NRSWA street works code of practice.
Ensure that all materials are transported to and from site in a safe and secure manner without damage and disposed of correctly where applicable.
Install ducting systems and cables to DNO specifications
Prepare and commence with their work activities and carry out cable jointing tasks as per the adopting utilities requirements.To ensure that whilst carrying out works in a live environment that they are working in a manner that complies with companies Operational Procedures and distribution safety rules. Also ensure the adopting utilities jointing methods are being always adhered to.    
Liaise with the DNO control centre during operations as and when required and report any near misses and hazards using the BYES NOC hotline along with adopting utilities reporting procedures.    
Will need to be flexible with working across different locations and be prepared to work at night and at the weekend when required
To ensure that the authorised Persons task instructions that are issued electronically are always complied with.                                                                     

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Experience work on adopting utilities plant.
ECS, 
Emergency First Aid, 
Manual Handling, 
Underground Mains and Services Mod 2 and Mod 3 jointing assessments will need to have been completed.
Experience with the carrying out works under NERS auditing procedures.
Clean full UK driving license.
