We have an excellent opportunity to for an Learning and Development Apprentice join our high performing and friendly team.  You will have the opportunity to gain real work experience whilst studying for a Level 5 qualification in HR. 

Typically for the role will involve:

  • Schedule and book training courses through discussion with participants, line managers, suppliers and the wider L&D team, ensuring maximum utilisation of resources e.g. training rooms and budget 
  • Publicise training events and act as point of contact for all delegates, trainers and suppliers by managing the L&D inbox, and other incoming queries
  • Training events administration e.g. printing, AV equipment, catering, room set-ups, helpdesk arrangements, meeting visitors
  • Manage course attendance to ensure courses reaches maximum capacity
  • During events deliver an exceptional participant experience through anticipating and meeting their requirements
  • Administration of the training attendance records on relevant systems. Ensuring data is accurate, monthly reports are created, certification is produced and distributed
  • Digital learning systems administration e.g. adding content/users, running reports
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of development activities through analysing participant feedback
  • Process purchase orders, invoices and credit notes, dealing with any related finance queries
  • Capture information/training needs identified from the annual appraisal process
  • Provide projects and meetings support e.g. taking minutes or notes and other support the team and the line manager.

The person:

  • Expected to have sound administration experience and work effectively in a team
  • Maths & English at grade C or equivalent
  • Strong planning and organising skills with attention to detail are essential
  • Must be able to manage own workload to meet deadlines
  • Candidate must be able to travel and independently support development events over several days in locations around the country. 
  • Strong communication skills together with an excellent customer service ethos
  • Good knowledge of MS Office package
