We are looking for a Learning & Development Advisor to join our Early Careers Team with a focus on apprenticeships.  At Bouygues, we know that attracting the best talent onto our next generation programmes is the most sustainable way to develop our future business leaders. A new generation of talent adds value to our existing projects by introducing fresh creative solutions that improve existing systems and processes.  We are looking for the L&D Advisor to maximise apprenticeship opportunities and ensure high quality of apprentices’ experience and performance.  Support all BYCN UK entities regarding their individual needs and take responsibility to maximise utilisation of apprenticeship levy pot.

The Learning and Development Advisor will:

  • Lead on the apprentice agenda within Early Careers Team.  
  • Contribute to the shaping of the talent planning strategy through identifying skills gaps at both a business and industry level by working with the other L&D Business Partners, HR team, CSR team and wider business.
  • Oversee all aspects of design, planning and execution of the apprenticeship programmes, bringing in fresh new perspectives from employee roundtables, industry knowledge shares and webinars to keep programmes up to date with best practice and innovations.
  • Liaise with recruitment team on attracting and recruiting for the best talent throught career events and building university and school links; use of methods and tools such as assessment centres and psychometric testing.
  • Oversee the management of the apprenticeship digital account and be accountable for maximising the use of the apprenticeship levy.
  • Line management responsibilities for the early careers team members
  • Support with development and maintenance of network of internal ICE, RICS and CIOB and other mentors to support Early Careers.
  • Liaise with the wider L&D team on design and delively of development interventions and events e.g. coaching and workshops.
  • Fully own the apprentices’ lifecycle from identifying job opportunities, finding the right apprenticeship programmes, providing the right level of support and support the transition  into a permanent role.
  • Use ScopeSuite platform to monitor and follow up on apprentices’s, Line managers’ and providers’ performance, challenges and progress throught apprenticeships.
  • Produce and analyse L&D metrics for key stakeholders including reliable reports on numbers of appreticeships, their overall health of progress, number of upcoming opportunities, retention figures per each business entity and utilisation of apprenticeship levy.
  • Undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department / Service. Significant permanent changes in duties will require agreed revisions to be made to this Job Description.
