Bouygues UK have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Planner to work on our flagship HQ3 project based in East London. Plans for Phase 3 comprise 620 new homes including 50 extra care homes – the first in the borough – as well as 118,404 sq. ft (11,000 sq. m) of mixed use space. You will take ownership of the overall programme on HQ3 (40+ pages) using Primavera, for our HQ4 project we will use Asta.

Job Purpose and Scope:
We offer a fast paced and challenging working environment, and also provides a good opportunity to be exposed to the major project side of our business at Bouygues. You will be involved diverse methodologies of construction with opportunities to be exposed to a good range of construction techniques. The role is  site based at Canning Town HQ3 (until project completion approx. mid-end 2024, 2025 for HQ4).

Essential

  • You will be an experienced Planning Manager / Senior Planner, with substantial experience in programming, along with management experience with a Main Contractor
  • Software experience of the following: Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject (both essential), Microsoft Project
  • You must have residential and Major Project (> £100M) experience
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to understand key issues and to listen, capture concerns, and escalate relevant issues to Senior Management and Director level
  • Understanding of the key features of common forms of contract entered in UK
  • Experience in Management of junior planners
  • Advanced level in Excel

Accountabilities and key tasks:

  • Working as part of the production and potentially pre-construction team, with dual role as independent assessor of progress, giving confidence in project status to Project Director
  • Ensuring the company procedures and planning standards are being implemented
  • Contributing to the capturing of output rates to ensure company database remains current and competitive
  • Liaison with broader planning community, especially technical department
  • Ensuring compliance with all current BYUK Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements
