Bouygues Energies & Services Industry is recruiting an Internal Communications Officer to join the Marketing and Communications team based in Manchester.  

Working as part of a small team, the Internal Communications Officer will produce and support the delivery of internal communications across the Bouygues Energies & Services Industry division.  The Internal Communications Officer will be passionate about, and understand the importance of internal communications, with the ability to write, edit, facilitate and produce content and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of messages.

The Role

  • Develop and executing internal communication strategies working alongside the Head of Communications and Marketing.
  • Delivery impactful campaigns ensuring positive employee engagement by producing engaging and interactive content for our internal channels including digital (intranet, email), social (Yammer) to convey business objectives and engage employees in the company mission, vision and culture.
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communication mediums e.g. intranet, e-mails, newsletters.  Ensure content is timely, up to date and responsive to the needs of our employees.
  • Seek new and innovative ways to facilitate colleague engagement and collaboration.
  • Generate stories/leads from others in the business.
  • Assist in maintaining robust distribution lists for colleague communications.
  • Develop and deliver an effective impact calendar of activity e.g. organising events and town halls.
  • Ensure conformity with Bouygues Energies & Services brand and strategy.
  • Take responsibility for timely submissions.
  • Thoroughly proof-read materials to ensure information is grammatically correct, well researched and without errors.
  • Be aware of health and safety requirements in all aspects of the role.

The Person:

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to speak with internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Internal communications experience with experience of creating and publishing content for internal audiences.
  • Planning and project management skills with strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Ability work within corporate guidelines while bringing innovation to content.
  • Possess the creativity and confidence to introduce new ideas.
  • Remain calm and efficient under pressure.
  • Strong IT skills, including Office 365 with experience of working with the intranet, digital and social media platforms.
