Installation Operative Crane

Duties include:

To excavate and install Street lighting Columns/signs operate a HIAB (lorry mounted crane) and drive a HGV Class 2 Lorry loader vehicle

To ensure that the quality of works meets the Customer Standards and requirements.

• To carry out instructions on a daily basis as laid down in the Task Instruction Sheets and the Companies Operations Manual.
• Operate a Lorry mounted crane (HIAB) and drive a HGV vehicle (Class 2)
• To set up site in accordance with Chapter 8 of NRSWA Street Works Code of Practice.
• Excavate to specification for Column/signpost installations, Install Column/signpost using lorry loader or via manual lifting. Install concrete foundations etc, back fill and temp re-instate. Install other street lighting components as required such as lanterns when completing column installs.
• To ensure that all materials and components are transported to and from site in a safe and secure manner without damage.
• To ensure that the full co-operation and best Customer Relations are maintained at all times, specifically on site.
• To be flexible in their working hours and location of works and to ensure all work is completed in accordance with specification.
• To comply with the Company’s Policies, Management Plans and Procedures
