We’re Hiring: Information Security & Cyber Security Officer

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to lead in a dynamic and innovative environment? Join us as an Information Security & Cyber Security Officer at our London office, with hybrid working availability. Play a critical role in ensuring robust cybersecurity practices and compliance with industry standards for the Sizewell C project.  

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance) we will support the building for Sizewell C.  Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.

Why This Role:

  • Leadership in Security: Manage the Information Security and Cyber Security Steering Team and serve as the primary point of contact for all cybersecurity matters within the Civil Works Alliance.
  • Strategic Impact: Develop and implement security principles, standards, and plans while ensuring compliance with ISO27001, UK Cyber Essentials, and GDPR.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work closely with various stakeholders, including IT management teams, key suppliers, and alliance partners, to enhance our cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Information Security and Cyber Security Steering Team.
  • Understand and enhance Alliance IT systems and processes from a security and GDPR perspective.
  • Promote good cybersecurity practices aligned with recognized frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain the Alliance Security Posture.
  • Lead on penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and regular security meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Identify and deliver information security training and awareness programs.
  • Contribute to the alliance risk register and provide solutions for security challenges.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Security clearance status.
    • Proficiency in SIEM and logging systems, pen testing techniques, vulnerability identification, and incident management.
    • Strong negotiating, influencing, project/program management skills.
    • Good understanding of IT and cybersecurity practices.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • A degree or equivalent experience in computer or cybersecurity subjects.
    • Familiarity with ISO 27001, UK GDPR, SANS 20 critical security controls, and UK Cyber Essentials.
