HSEQ Administrator Apprentice

VSL International (UK) have an exciting opportunity available for a Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Department Administrator Apprentice to be based from our site offices in Rickmansworth. You would be supporting our teams who are working on the KVJV joint venture project.
The KVJV is a Joint Venture between Keller Limited and VSL Systems (UK) Ltd a Member of Bouygues Construction contracted on the LOT C1 – ‘Chiltern Tunnels and Colne Valley Viaduct’ for High Speed Two (HS2) Limited.
Job Purpose
This is a junior role for an HSQE Administrator Apprentice where you will work within the HSQE team to help deliver proactive, effective, and timely support to the Head of HSQ&E and local Site Managers. This role is great to kick start your career in Construction and improve your knowledge and interest in Health, Safety, Quality and Environment working on HS2 Largest construction project in the UK
You will participate in the planning, development, creation, and implementation of training programs Maintaining up-to-date, correct, and accurate training records, such as trainee lists, schedules, attendance sheets. You will oversee the preparation and dissemination of materials such as instructional notes, feedback forms.
Responsibilities
The HSEQ Department Administrator Apprentice will be responsible for:
- Managing COVID testing requirements and keeping records
- Maintaining up to date HSQE databases for live projects,
- Maintaining up to date HSQE team structure, contact details etc
- Maintain existing statistical databases relating to enforcing authority visits, RIDDOR accidents and statistical analysis
- Assist with production of Monthly and Quarterly HSQE board reports
- Attend training to assist/develop the role where appropriate
- Travelling to the KVJV sites within HS2 C1
- Develop expertise for the management of Airsweb AVA
- Attend Meetings and record actions
- Monitoring of PPE stocks and reordering where required.
- Organise meeting room bookings
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A background in environmental planning / sciences
- An interest major infrastructure project
- Good IT skills
- Evidence of team working skills
- Good project management skills
- An ability to take initiative,
- An ability to find solutions
- An ability to work independently.
