Axione designs, builds, finances, and operates new-generation digital infrastructure (FTTP/FTTH) for its own projects, local authorities and for Internet Service Provider.

We are currently extending our expertise in the United Kingdom.

Axione  UK, part of Bouygues Construction UK Group,  are delivering Full Fibre services to around 4 million premises in the UK over the next 8 years.

Currently, Axione UK has started a pilot in Stonehouse (Glasgow). The team is split between two main offices: Becket House in London and Eurocentral in Glasgow. We are currently 20 people, aiming to be 40 by the end of the year and 300+ at peak.

This role will provide an effective and efficient operational human resources service to Axione UK ’team.

It will be responsible for advising, developing, implementing, and reviewing all aspects of the strategic and operations management of the company’s human resource activity in order to achieve the optimum performance of the team.

This role needs to liaise with Bouygues Construction HR team in UK but also with Axione and Bouygues Energies and Services in France for HR matters.

 

Accountabilities and key tasks:

 

Advice / Support / Assistance

  • To provide an effective and efficient advice and support service to managers and employees on HR matters, suggesting appropriate solutions are required.
  • To provide advice and information to managers to enable them to meet their responsibilities in areas including:
    • Disciplinary and grievance.
    • Terms and conditions of employment.
    • Employment law

 Recruitment

  • To manage all aspects of the recruitment:
    • Raising vacancies with managers and establishing job descriptions if needed
    • Assuring with Finance department that all recruitments have been budgeted and authorized
    • Liaising with BYCN UK recruitment team to make sure this vacancy is published in our ATS (Vacancy Filler)
    • Selecting CVs with the recruitment team
    • Participating to the interviews with the hiring manager in accordance with procedures and ensure that all appropriate pre-employment checks are completed.
    • Complying with the company’s Equal Opportunity Policy in providing equal treatment of all employees and applicants.
    • Making offers and prepare contracts of employment

 
Mobility (GLC – Global Localisation Contract)

  • To target employees within the Group who are interested to join Axione UK
  • To provide support and guidance to the employees targeted
  • To prepare the (GLC – Global Localisation Contract) offer and liaising with BYES in France
  • To launch ICT (Intra Company Transfer) VISA if necessary
  • To liaise with our provider Mainby and make sure all GLC have been enrolled to our benefits (CFE/CRE/ISOS/Modulo)
  • To guarantee the payment of the French deductions to Mainby


Training & Induction

  • To ensure that all new employees complete a timely, appropriate and comprehensive induction
  • To ensure that all employees are registered on our HR payroll system
  • To ensure that all employees complete appropriate accreditations (sourcing appropriate external providers if necessary)
  • To ensure the company has a robust training and development strategy that meets the needs of the organisation
  • To provide advice and information to Managers on training and development issues.
  • To implement a new induction system and make sure it’s in line with BYCN UK and Axione FR expectations

 

Career & HR cycle management

  • To follow the company’s appraisal review program and ensure that any issues identified are dealt with accordingly, for example, performance, training, succession planning etc.
  • To assist in the succession planning of the company and talent management.
  • To manage the compensation review with managers


Process & HR Admin

  • To ensure compliance with the HR policies and procedures of the company by operational managers.
  • To comply with company policies, procedures and social law.
  • To develop strategies, guidelines, policies and procedures in line with business needs which reflect best practise and any statutory requirements
  • To ensure that personnel records are complete, accurate, up to date and kept under strict security.


Communication

  • To develop the notoriety of Axione in UK and develop our company brand with the communication department in France
  • To maintain effective relationships with local, regional and national agencies: develop appropriate external relations with other senior human resource professionals


In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by their line manager from time to time, outside the normal sphere of work as may be reasonably requested.

The job holder will be required to undertake such flexible and additional working hours as may be necessary, within reason, to facilitate the efficient fulfilment of the duties required by position.


Essential

  • In depth experience in a HR business partner role.
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Excellent track record in employee relations.
  • Ability to liaise with several companies and organisations (BYUK, Axione FR, BYES FR…)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English, French would be a bonus
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Travel in UK (likely around one week per month)


Desirable:

  • Previous experience with Telecom industry
