Health and Safety Systems Advisor

We at the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) are excited to welcome a dedicated HSW Systems Advisor to our dynamic team at Sizewell C-one of the UK's most ambitious nuclear projects, delivering sustainable, low-carbon electricity to millions of homes. This role is crucial in ensuring our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing systems are top-notch and in line with our commitment to operational excellence.

As a HSW Systems Advisor, you will support the SMS Systems Lead in crafting, implementing, and continuously refining the Safety Management System (SMS) for the CWA. You’ll play a vital role in aligning our SMS with industry best practices, ensuring that we can manage risks effectively across this groundbreaking project. Your efforts will be pivotal in communicating and embedding the nuclear safety message throughout the organization, fostering a proactive culture of health and safety.

You will collaborate with project teams and stakeholders, engage with the Integrated Management System (IMS) development team, and facilitate compliance through training and assurance initiatives. Your ability to build relationships and communicate effectively will be key to influencing positive health and safety practices across the board.

We're looking for candidates with a NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate and experience in developing and managing health and safety systems. A strong understanding of UK Health and Safety Legislation is essential, along with the competence in the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
