Bouygues Energies & Services are seeking to grow our team and recruit a Health & Safety Advisor, to be support our growing Data Centre in Newport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Health and Safety Manager on driving and delivering against agreed standards.
  • Supporting Operational Team(s) for risk reviews and controls to ensure safe systems of work are established.
  • Promoting a positive health and safety culture in the business and ensure compliance to the management system.
  • Ensure the Health and Safety strategy is adopted and supported in its implementation.
  • Delivering against set Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
  • Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
  • Always set a personal example by upholding company policies, procedures and approach to setting leadership.
  • Attend meetings as requested by the Health and Safety Manager/Project Director.
  • Developing and delivering training material for the purposes of raising awareness and education.
  • Collaborate within the project and externally to ensure the safety of contractors and visitors.
  • Ensuring all accidents and incidents are accurately reported and recorded. 

Essential Criteria

  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Able to challenge when unsafe acts or behaviours identified.
  • Ability to write weekly summaries of site conditions.
  • Support the Health & Safety Manager in delivering training to groups.
  • Maintain charts and graphs for monthly reports.
  • Good with Excel and Pivot Tables.
  • Previous construction experience.
  • Ability to work their own, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of using PowerPoint and preparing presentations.
