As part of our ongoing commitment to technical excellence, Region 1 is creating a new role of Head of Technical. The Head of Technical will be the focal point for technical matters and will support efficient delivery for our projects across the region, delivering fully integrated design and system solutions to underpin successful project delivery. The Head of Technical will also lead and implement key strategies across the region such as Carbon Reduction, the business improvement group and digital transformation.
Key areas of focus will include:
Design Management
Responsible for leading the design management job family and in delivering a consistent and integrated approach to the design process across Region 1. In particular:
Carbon Reduction Strategy
Act as the Region 1 technical interface with Region 2
Recruitment and development of our people
Lead the R1 Business Improvement Group
BIM and Digital Information Management
Innovation & Digital Transformation
Profile & Requirements:
- Likely to be a Senior Manager with a strong knowledge of construction operations, with a good understanding of construction processes and key challenges
- Ability to shape high level and cross functions vision and set priorities
- Passionate about Design Management
- Technical outlook and performance driven
- Strong focus on collaboration with an open-mind and the ability to influence, facilitate and connect with people within the Bouygues network and further afield
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels and adapt to the situation
- Resilient and unphased by challenge
