Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Keeper to join our maintenance team at Barnet General Hospital.  This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. 

 

Key Activities:

  • Reporting to the Grounds Supervisor.
  • Maintain the hospital grounds to a professional standard including emptying outdoor bins, litter picking and road sweeping
  • Carry out snow clearing 
  • Strimming, mowing, weeding, seasonal clearance of fallen leaves and removal of fallen branches
  • Use relevant tools and equipment, drive company vehicles and machinery safely
  • Assist trades staff in maintenance work when needed
  • Assist with stores / move stock and materials
  • Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of grounds work is preferred but not essential
  • Good standard of fitness appropriate to the tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills and a high standard of work and attention to detail
  • Good organisation skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise work using own initiative
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, and to represent the company in a professional manner to the client and public
  • Ability to work within a team or autonomously
  • Multi skilled with a flexible, proactive, can-do approach
  • Familiar with Health & Safety procedures
