Graduate Electrical / Electronic Engineer Internship
Bouygues Energies & Services Contracting - Bristol
We have a fantastic opportunity available at Bouygues Energies & Services for an Electrical / Electronic Graduate to join our Hinkley Point C team. BYES E&S UK Branch has been delivering a Turn-key EPC contract for the Hinkley Point C new build nuclear power plant Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG). This 12 month graduate internship placement within the technical team responsible for the design / manufacturing / qualification of the EDG system (Genset, I&C system and the auxiliaries) is assigned the following responsibilities:
- Participate in establishing and implementing the I&C design modifications.
- Follow up activities performed by I&C sub-contractors through design, procurement and manufacturing.
- Follow up activities performed by Instrumentation and Heating systems sub-contractors.
The role will be based from our Bristol office in Bradley Stoke, but supporting the Hinkley project.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside a group of very dedicated individuals within our Technical team and be able to contribute to the work that we are carrying out on this innovative project.
The Role:
- I&C definition and documentation updates.
- Support development and adherence to design and quality control processes.
- Support manufacturing follow up and surveillance.
- I&C Hardware qualification activities follow-up.
What you`ll need:
- Industrial projects in the Energy sector
- Communication/Organisation/Quality processes
- Notions of sub-contractor surveillance
- Ability to complete tasks independently
- Instrumentation and Control design for industrial projects
- Electrical Systems e.g Trace heating and Flange heaters.
- Electrical Layout and Installation
Desirable Skills:
- Nuclear Safety
- Project engineering or project management experience (or an interest in gaining these skills)
