General Manager
Bouygues Energies & Services Solutions - Edmonton
Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to lead one of our largest healthcare contracts in London. This is a Hard FM PFI contract, but we also manage the legacy estate. The role will have fully budgetary responsibility; due to the size contract the General Manager is responsible for a large leadership team consisting of two Senior Operation Managers and 2 Operation Managers.
The role:
- Reporting to the Contract Director; to be responsible for the day to day delivery of first-class Hard FM services at North Middlesex University Hospital.
- To champion a safe working environment.
- To be responsible for contract performance including budgets and staff.
- To exercise financial and commercial controls to manage expenditure and increase profitability.
- To develop and maintain collaborative relationships with our clients to ensure unrivalled customer satisfaction.
- To ensure operational delivery is compliant with statutory and contractual obligations.
- To meet all key performance and management indicators.
- To identify opportunities to expand current contracts and to develop new business.
- To manage and develop the site teams including recruitment, appraisal, HR matters, etc.
The person:
- A sound understanding of hard services delivery in a PFI environment and commercially aware.
- Experience of operating a PFI contract and experience in the application and reporting of strict performance measures (within a healthcare environment is desirable).
- Significant experience in managing FM contracts at senior level.
- Will have experience of managing multi-functional teams including strong communication, interpersonal and man management skills.
- Will be adept at financial management with experience of P&L responsibility.
- Must have strong client management skills, including managing expectations.
