General Ledger Assistant

Bouygues UK have an exciting and challenging role for a General Ledger Assistant within our Finance team. Job Purpose and Scope:
You will  work as part of the Accounting Team reporting into Senior Financial Accountant, and ensure that the companies’ financial transactions are recorded in an accurate and timely basis

Accountabilities and key tasks:

• Processing of daily manual payments
• General Ledger processing, which may include intercompany and possibly other general ledger/Sales ledger tasks.
• Preparing and posting of journals
• Assist with preparation work for reporting and Audits
• Reconciliations and investigation of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts
• Answering queries from colleagues on some aspects of general ledger/sales ledger/ payments/ receipts
• Comply with Company Policies and Procedures including the Company's Quality Policy and Mission Statement

Essential criteria:

Essential

• General Ledger experience
• Sound Excel knowledge including Pivot tables and formulas
• Multi-tasking abilities
• Excellent organizational skills and time management
• Capacity to work alone and as part of a team
• Accurate and good attention to detail
• Detail focused & organised
