General Ledger Assistant

Bouygues UK have an exciting opportunity for an General Ledger Assistant or our Shared Service Centre, working in our vibrant Finance office in Haywards Heath.
Job Purpose and Scope:
- To work as part of the Accounting Team reporting into Senior Financial Accountant
- To make sure that the companies financial transactions are recorded in an accurate and timely basis
Accountabilities and key tasks:
- Processing of daily manual payments
- General Ledger processing, which may include intercompany and possibly other general ledger/Sales ledger tasks.
- Preparing and posting of journals
- To assist with preparation work for reporting and Audits
- Reconciliations and investigation of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts
- Answering queries from colleagues on some aspects of general ledger/sales ledger/ payments/ receipts
Essential & Desirable criteria:
Essential
- Good communicator
- Capacity to work alone and as part of a team
- Sound Excel knowledge
- General Ledger experience
