Finance Assistant
Bouygues Energies & Services Solutions - Edmonton
The main duties and responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will involve:
- Reporting to the Asset Control & Administration Manager
- Provide support to the operations department through assisting with the finance and payroll duties.
- Liaise with the commercial team to ensure month end figures are submitted.
- Invoice completed project works to obtain payment from the client.
- Assist with providing the relevant documentation to reduce aged debt on the contract
- Undertake Purchase and Sales Ledger duties at a contract level including the raising, tracking and administration of purchase orders while ensuring that company procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Manage sundry invoices billing to ensure that all completed works are recharged to the Client in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure that all relevant back up is obtained to support invoices.
- Assist with producing monthly financial reports
- Assist with monthly invoicing reports and month end reports.
The ideal candidate for the Finance Assistant role will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Previous finance experience is an advantage
- Excellent Communicator at all levels
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Must have prior experience in raising invoices/credits
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
