Finance Analyst
Bouygues Energies & Services Solutions - M4 Junction 10
The main duties and responsibilities of the Finance Analyst will include:
- Working closely with operational and commercial site based teams to produce detailed cost reports and supporting documentation for the client
- Control and analysis of contract spend and commitments, producing the back up documentation for the application for payment, journaling the costs for labour and vehicles
- Assistance in the timely production of monthly Management Accounts pack and client Applications, liaising with the client to agree expenditure
- Detailed Contract Reviews, including cost analysis with travel as necessary, to support operational management and quantity surveyor
- Review / control & police that all the company’s financial processes and procedures are being adhered to e.g. tender sign off, purchase orders, client billing, employee expenses
- Assist in the preparation / consolidation of schedules for year end audit purpose in respect of areas of responsibility
- Ensure invoices are raised in accordance with contracts and company policy, management of debt collection
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within construction / engineering / project based environment
- Good general IT skills including standard MS Office programmes, particularly Excel including data modelling
- Experience of interpretation of financial information to support management decision making
- Capable of reviewing and analysing complex financial data & propose/pilot solutions to problems
- Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised, with a methodical approach to work
- Financial diligence and attention to detail - Ability to be timely and accurate in the presentation of financial information in a pressured environment
