Duties include:
- To carry out installation duties for the full range of street lighting aspects including lantern installs, installation of equipment, SWA joints and terminations, fault finding. Carrying out a full electrical test and completion and submission of an electrical test certificate.
- To carry out visual survey works to all columns, brackets or other minor structures and record results via electronic means to ensure suitable for new lantern to be fitted.
- To carry out a visual electrical survey of columns before works commence and record any unsafe conditions and/or repair and advise supervisor if works cannot continue.
Main responsibilities
- Ensure that you and your team members carryout their duties in a safe manner, via compliance to the companies Health and Safety Policy and in particular that of site-specific risk assessment, and the use of quality plans. These will include Installation instructions, RAMS Utility Undertaker’s drawings and permits as a minimum.
- All vehicle daily audits (SF11) are carried out, recorded and action taken on findings within the appropriate time scales.
- To ensure that all work is carried out to contract specifications with regard to, workmanship, time scales and cost.
- To ensure all paperwork (ITP`s) is completed and signed at each stage and complies with company procedures.
