Duty Security Manager

Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Duty Security Manager to join our Security Solutions team working at the prestigious National Archives building in Kew. This is a permanent role working shifts 4 on 4 off 42 hours per week days and nights.
The role:
- Reporting to the Security Operations Manager
- Assist with overall management of security and car parking services and deputising in the absence of the manager. Highly visible presence with specific focus on customer liaison and staff motivation and direction.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the department, coordinating staff rotas and schedules to ensure optimum economic and operational coverage is maintained.
- To formulate suitable strategies, in conjunction with the university, to mobilise and meet the demands of service provision, ongoing improvement, and adaptation to changing processes and environments.
- Take full responsibility for the performance of all teams, including working patterns, timekeeping, performance management, sickness absence, annual leave, preparation of rota’s and improvement of knowledge of the services provided and any necessary training and/or development
- Recruit, organise, control, train, develop and motivate staff to ensure a high-quality service is provided
- Working 42 hours per week, shifts 4 on 4 off, days and nights.
The person:
- SIA Security Licence and experience in a similar role essential
- Strong leadership experience within a security environment is essential
- Must have a good knowledge of the higher education market
- Reliable, flexible and motivated approach to work, with a positive, customer-focused attitude
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Full driving licence is essential
